Building a Global “Freshness Shield” Snowman Group’s South American Cold Chain Projects

On November 14, 2024, the Chancay Port—a landmark China–Peru Belt and Road project located north of Lima—officially opened, further strengthening Pacific trade links between Asia and South America.
As South American fruit exports to China continue to surge, maintaining freshness and quality has become a critical challenge. For delicate fruits such as blueberries and cherries, every hour and every degree after harvest matters.
Without rapid pre-cooling within 4–6 hours, fruits begin to lose moisture and firmness—damage that even refrigeration cannot reverse. Top-grade Chilean cherries must be cooled to 0–1°C, while blueberries require near 0°C and high humidity to preserve their texture and flavor.
Thus, rapid pre-cooling at the source has become the first and most crucial step in the global cold chain system.

Peru Blueberry Project
Snowman Group delivered a high-efficiency pre-cooling solution for one of South America’s leading blueberry exporters.
Adopted ammonia-based dual parallel brine systems for rapid and precise temperature control.
Integrated intelligent monitoring and automation, ensuring stable operation during peak export seasons.
Maintained each batch of fruit in optimal condition before entering the cold chain.

Chile Cherry Project
To meet the stringent demands of cross-ocean cherry shipments, Snowman Group provided a reliable ammonia refrigeration system engineered for continuous, high-load performance throughout the export season.
Delivered comprehensive on-site training, empowering the client’s technical team with independent operation and maintenance capabilities.

Driving Freshness, Connecting the World
Under the Belt and Road Initiative, Snowman Group continues to leverage independent refrigeration innovation to strengthen the global fruit cold chain—safeguarding freshness from farm to port and enabling high-quality international trade.
